Lisa Palas

Lisa Palas is an award-winning songwriter with several #1 hits to her credit.  Her songs have been recorded by the renowned country stars Alabama, Reba McEntire, Randy Travis, Kris Kristofferson, Chris LeDoux, Lee Greenwood, The Whites, Jana Stanfield, Jim Nabors Conway Twitty and The Oak Ridge Boys as well as include in the soundtracks of feature films such as “Disappearing Acts” starring Wesley Snipes.   She has also scored independent films and musicals for the stage, most recently "Jack" for Louisville, Kentucky’s  Walden Theater and “Finding Mrs. Santa Claus” for MPS Productions.  Lisa also wrote and recorded “THE GIFT YOU GAVE”, a tribute to the U.S. military that welcomes World War II veterans to Washington, D.C. to visit the WWII Memorial by Honorflight. “Smiley Pete”, written and recorded by Lisa is included on cd in the book “Smiley Pete” written by Margaret Price Swim.

Lisa began her acting career as a ballroom dancer in the Sissy Spacek film "Marie", also notable for being the film debut of ex-Senator Fred Thompson.  Lisa has appeared in numerous short films, industrials, tv commercials and episodic television such as the Pax Network's "It's a Miracle", hosted by Richard Thomas . She is currently seen in  commercials for Physicians Mutual Insurance, Incharge Debt Solutions and Tri-Star Health Systems.  Lisa has also performed in various productions on the stage including the world premiere reading and production of "A Stoop on Orchard Street”.

Lisa's song "Send Love" was the title cut on Anita Hall's debut cd and was the theme song for Anita's campaign with the Hawaii Marine Corps band Toys For Tots and THE HAWAII FOOD BANK food drive. In addition to writing the title song, Lisa wrote "That's What Angels Do" for the cd, which was named Best Inspirational CD at The Hawaii Music Awards and nominated for a Hawaii NARAS award for Best Gospel cd.
